A British citizen and retired teacher, he remains a product of his era and uses the satire of an older generation to expose the absurdity of the current one. Self identifies as a square peg in a round hole and looks forward to politicians changing the earth’s climate, dying from climate change or Covid flu whichever comes first and producing green energy from fossil fuels.

The blog is based around the British Monty Python tradition of absurdist or surreal humour and the satirical squirrel is the alter ego of John V Asia Teacher. We are not politically correct and our mission statement is to provide humour. Additionally, we are not selling anything and the annoying ads you see are beyond our control and the price we pay for having a free platform.

From our humble beginnings in a small Fleet Street London office in 1827, the amazing satirical squirrel’s reliable and trusted weekly news incorporating The Covid Times, now competes against the media giants of Reuters and the Murdoch News Group. Our recent decision to go online as a new vibrant print-digital hybrid (doesn't that sound good), reflects an increasing demand for truth in a world of verbal diarrhea and offers a 99% protection rate from the mainstream media.
